Yesterday we left the house around 6:30 a.m. with Ray's mom, grandmother, step-dad, & step-brother & drove up to the Ichetucknee River about 2.5 hours north of us to go tubing.

We rented our tubes & got on the river around 10:30. Addison looked so cute in her little pink & white polka dot bathing suit (which I bought because polka dots are in this season). :) We got a little two-person raft/boat instead of a tube so that I could hold her in there.

The poor girl was exhuasted because we had to wake her up before 6 & she only got a quick little nap on the drive up. But, she seemed really intrigued by the river. She'd lean against the side of the boat & look around at the water, trees, & other people on the river. There was a big group of young Germans around us & she seemed reallly happy to be able to watch them. She didn't really fuss until the sun hit (she sweats so horribly) & there weren't people around to entertain her.

The water was beautiful, really clear. Also really cold. I didn't get in since I had the baby but we did dip her feet in a few times which also resulted in her getting very upset!

I was so ready to get out of the water by the time we hit the midway point, mostly because I wanted to be able to put Addison down for nap. She was starting to have cranky moments & it was rather warm holding her in the sun & having my skin stick to the raft!

We grilled hamburgers for lunch & while everybody else fnished the river I sat at the picnic table so Addison could sleep in her pack n play. It seemed like the perfect idea except she still wouldn't sleep! She was way too interested in the things around her to take a nap.

We didn't have time to go swim in the springs afterwards, although I think this was the same place I went to with the New Tribes Mission school about 10 years ago. I still had a lot of fun but I was so tired by the end of the day.

It was so good to get home, I was in bed at 9:30!
