the essence

Yesterday we celebrated Ray's 32nd birthday! Notice I always post his age on his birthday but not mine (in case you don't know, I turned 24 in June). The day was very uneventful but I was very excited about a special gift I made for him. You can check it out here, at my craft blog.

I made him his favorite for dessert, a chocolate raspberry torte (he's been eating it all day today, too!). He had a special request for dinner: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, & canned biscuits. His wish is my command! (at least on his birthday)
