the essence

As I mentioned before Sarah is here right now with her two kids ages 20 months and four months. It is around 8:25 in the morning & I'm the ONLY ONE IN THE HOUSE WHO IS AWAKE. Ray & Addison are still in bed, too.

I woke up to Addison crying a little after six so I nursed her & put her back to bed. I then snuck out of our room by climbing through the hole in our bathroom drywall (from a leak we once had - it leads into the laundry room), made some coffee, & have had some alone time for the first time in...I don't remember, but it's been awhile.

I love people & having company but some time to myself is very rejuvenating. I guess it gives me time to collect myself & just settle down.

I do have ingredients out for cinnamon rolls but I haven't wanted to get them started yet - I'd rather let everyone keep sleeping!

I'll leave you with a picture of Addison exploring the field Saturday morning before our soccer game. She's not too fond of walking the grass & makes a beeline for the pavement!
