the essence

Our neighbor (nice one) had triple bypass surgery Monday so we went down to his house to take care of the dog. I've been down there before but I was still so impressed. This house is so clean. Actually, clean doesn't even describe it. Impeccable would be better. Not a pile of magazines on the coffee table, a purse tossed in the corner, or even mail on the counter.

Not only did the husband have triple bypass Monday but the wife had gall bladder surgery just a week & a half earlier AND her parents were staying with them. And yet, I dare say her house is cleaner right now than mine has ever been. EVER.

They don't have a cleaning service or yard service or anything either. She works full-time out of the home, he works from the home. Their fridge is organized. The garage is cleaner and more organized than our office. Even the yard is tidy.

Can you tell I'm impressed?

I know it helps that the husband and wife both seem to have the clean & organized gene, plus, no kids in the house anymore. But wow, it's something else.



That is my craft/guest room last month when I was in the middle of organizing and cleaning. It has to get messier before it can get clean! (At least it does for me)
