See this headboard?
It's the same headboard I used when I was a girl & the same one Ray & I used until we were given a King bed a little over a year ago. I almost got rid of this headboard because I wasn't too fond of it. Instead it now looks like this:
A deep dark eggplant. I LOVE it! The queen bed is now in our guest room (which is in the middle of our house & very visible). The room has bright orange walls (called orange sherbet) & accents of lime green and eggplant. This matches so well with the purple in the painting that I have hanging in that room; one of my favorites that Megan painted & gave to me.
I still need one more coat on the headboard. I used spray paint & did it when I put Kate down for a nap but could then hear her crying a bit while I was outside. This led to the rushed I-must-finish-this-but-I-also-need-to-check-on-my-baby thing so the coat is not too even & also has some drip spots.
We'll just say I did it for an artistic effect.
