Aside from the two apartments where we received free basic, Ray & I have never had cable or satellite tv. Which is okay, really. Don't get me wrong, if someone gave me cable I'd take it. I love HGTV. Actually, Ray and I BOTH love HGTV, so it's probably a good thing we don't have cable - I could see it being a risky time waster.

However, I'd love cable simply to get rid of the static on my tv. Let's face it, there are shows I like to watch, or even the news, but it gets incredibly frustrating (especially when pregnancy hormones come into play!) to constantly move the antenna around only to still have a slightly fuzzy picture.

Enter digital.

Oh my. Nobody told me that the digital converter box would give me a picture as clear as cable tv! Or that I'd have so many extra stations (I can watch Quantum Leap in the afternoons if I want to now!); or, that I'd be able to press one handy button & get the time and show information on the screen, all at once!

Anybody else out there still using an antenna who was surprised by the difference digital made?

Also, because this is no longer just my blog but also an indulge-the-grandparents-blog (see post below) here's a picture of the girls:
