I was supposed to be at Busch Gardens with the girls today but we're having severe weather today - hail, thunderstorms, and tornado watches until 2pm. Caroline is in Orlando with her daughter for Spring Break & she was going to Busch Gardens today & bought my ticket so I could go too! We've postponed it until Thursday so hopefully the weather will be better by then. That also works out because we have a test in class tonight, which I should probably study for a bit.
In the whirlwind of everything we did manage to get in some Easter celebrations. Saturday we dyed eggs with Rays' moms' family. Three two-year-olds made for quite a fun mess with all of that dye! (Those pictures are on Ray's computer, though). When we got home I finished sewing the girls Easter dresses and finishes off the absolutely amazing carrot cake I made for the family dinner on Sunday. Serious, to die for!
Addison had a couple goodies in her Easter basket & immediately began devouring the little robin eggs. See how she's reaching in with such purpose? And Ray thought I was just being a fuddy duddy because I didn't want to dump the entire bag in there...
Sunday morning we went to church, had a little time at home, and then went to Rays' side of the family again for Easter.
On the hunt for eggs! She was bypassing the real ones for the candy-filled plastic ones!
I think that was the most sugar Addison has ever had in her life. I was trying to get her to eat some real food & daddy insisted on more sweets. I'm sure he'll be the "fun" parent in the years ahead....
