Saturday Morning Breakfast


Because nothing is better in the morning than oil and salt, I made some homemade hash browns to go with breakfast. Oh, so good.

In order to make 9-10 small hash browns grate two potatoes. Squeeze the excess water out & add a little salt & pepper. I didn't measure those but lets say...about 1/2-3/4t salt & 1/8 t pepper. Mix it all together very well.

Meanwhile, heat the skillet (preferably cast iron) on medium low & add a nice little layer of oil. Once heated spoon in the mixture & cook until each side is golden.



Serve with ketchup or sourcream, although they're really excellent without anything extra, too. Now eat!



For variation, you can also try adding some garlic, cheese, herbs, etc.
