I met Kathryn & Lindsay at the mall this morning; two old friends from camp who don't live to far from me now but who I rarely see. In fact, I hadn't seen Lindsay in about 6 years! (Note to self: take photos at the BEGINNING of the day, not at the end when I'm all greasy...)
Both girls are pregnant with their firsts & just about two weeks apart. They're right in the stage with the cute little baby bump!
My girls were both very tired. The whole sharing a room thing is going okay, but Kate was up a bit early this morning & Ray got Addison to bed WAY to late last night. After much fussing Kate finally conked out for awhile.
Even though I was desperately tired after 4 hours at the mall, I couldn't pass up a stop at IKEA for a number of factors:
1. I was already on that side of town which almost never happens
2. I have even more money made off of Craiglist, ripe for spending!
3. I have a list of home items I'm itching to get. Mostly things that after 7-years of marriage are kind of getting worn, such as hand towels. Or, items that routinely need replaced, like cutting boards. And, even things I've never had, meaning salad tongs!
I only managed to pick up the cutting boards, but it was a fabulously priced two-pack of wood boards which is just what I've been wanting but haven't wanted to spend the outrageous amounts normally required. I really just want to go back when I don't have the kids with me. It would be nice to go when I have a bit more energy myself, too.
I did take advantage of the pick-three free kids meal they're offering until August 16th. Addison had the macaroni & cheese (which was actually pretty good), apple juice, & a cookie.
I dare say that if you ask Addison what we did today she'll tell we had a cookie and chocolate. (I also picked up one of their hazelnut chocolate bars to try) The girl LOVES her chocolate!
