Weird
I'm eight weeks into this pregnancy & so far it's nothing like I expected it to be. Well, not nothing, the exhaustion constantly hits you like a wall of bricks.
Other than that, it's really different. Normally by this point I've passed the peak of the bad morning sickness but it's far from over. This time, I keep getting little waves of nausea & a really bad day once in awhile. It seems to be the worst when I'm overly tired. However, I'm still able to eat rather normally & the nausea hardly interferes with my day-to-day life. It's so weird!
I can even drink & enjoy a bit of coffee, something normally unheard of in my first trimester! I can't drink my normal everyday coffee but I've still enjoyed a little peppermint mocha a couple of times.
If I didn't still have really bad days & the constant exhaustion I'd be rather concerned that something might be wrong & the hormones aren't strong enough. (Honestly, I still wonder about it at times, but I wonder about that everytime I'm pregnant) The only other thing I can imagine is that it must be a boy since I feel so different this time.
I've even been able to cook this time! I've even cut up raw chicken! I don't enjoy cooking right now & would do better to just eat out & satisfy my cravings but, with that not being an option, I'm thankful that I've been able to pull some things together.
I'm also incredibly thankful for my amazing friends. As soon as a couple of them found out I was pregnant, they knew I'd be on vacation while I felt well which means I wouldn't be at home to cook & freeze meals to eat while I was feeling ill. So, they took it upon themselves to cook some meals for us! I have the best friends!

Wow ~ maybe you ARE having a boy! :) I'm so excited for you.
We need belly pictures!!!
It's so funny - I could have written this entry! :) Occasional waves of nausea, utterly exhausted but way better than last time.
I thought I might even make it through the first trimester without puking (in contrast to last time where I spewed almost every day) but this week some sour milk sent me over the edge, and the butcher-section in Woolies undid me today. Even so, way better than last time!
Maybe we are both having boys :)
Will you find out at 20 weeks or keep it as a surprise?
