Today I am 11 weeks and 5 days so we went into the birth center so we could hear the baby's heartbeat. I'm always just a tad nervous when it comes to finding the heartbeat for the first time, although I wasn't really this time. I was pretty sure I'd already begun to feel my uterus & the midwife confirmed that it actually feels a little higher than what's normal for 12 weeks.
We did get to hear a nice strong heartbeat! It took awhile to find it but once we did it was great! Beating around 160bpm.
If you ask Addison if she wants a baby sister or a baby brother she'll tell you a baby sister. Or, as she told the nmidwife today, she wants "a baby Kate!"

It's a very reassuring sound isn't it? My sister-in-law just heard the heartbeats of her twins yesterday.
I don't know how that poor, skinny midwife can hold all that hair up!
I cried the first time I heard Lucas's heartbeat. OMG. It's just so incredible. Hmm, 160 ~ kind of high? Maybe a boy? :)
