The one "must-have" I wanted to make were these marshmallow pops, HWTM's knock-off of Bakerella's amazing creations! They were so cute & fun & easy to make & they tasted pretty yummy, too!
I did attempt a very basic cake to follow the butterfly theme. Ray called this "The Rump Cake," because that is what he saw when he first looked at it rather than seeing a butterfly. Thanks, honey.
The day before Addison's birthday I asked her what she wanted & she told me cake. I asked her what else she wanted & she said candy. When I asked her what else she said chocolate. The funny thing is once Addison did get her cake she was having too much fun playing with her friends to eat it.
Kate enjoyed her smash cake, too, & ended up picking up the entire thing to eat it, but Ray has video of that instead of photos. By the time of this photo Kate was getting a bit tired & was done with the cake.
A few of the kids eating at their kids table.
Addison really enjoyed opening presents, although the selfish side really came out in her & she didn't want to share her things with Kate or say thank you to people. I know she's only 3 but she's usually a little better about that kind of thing. Of course Kate had no interest opening her presents & seeing all of the cute clothes she received but she really had fun sitting on the box of playdoh Addison received!
It was a very nice day! It wasn't too big of a party but I know Addison had a lot of fun playing with her friends!
One of my favorite things was the matching skirts I made for the girls out of the butterfly fabric! Thanks to my mom for that idea!
Here's a link to the rest of the photos from the party.
