I think tomorrow will be the start of getting back to "normal" since our vacation. Or maybe it will be starting the new normal since Monday marked Ray's first day at his new job! All is fine & dandy so far just learning the ropes & orientation thus far.
Last week was still off kilter with getting back from our trip, Ray leaving, my mom coming & then Eddie & Sarah staying with us since Saturday. Eddie flew home Monday night, Sarah & the kids left our place last night but then came back to hang out this afternoon. Our days have been filled with playing, lots of dress up, swimming at the pool, snuggles on the couch & picnics on the floor.
On Monday our guests went to the beach; Addison begged to go with them & Susannah cried because she wanted to stay with Addison & play - it was so sweet!
So, all of our company is gone (we so enjoyed them!) & Ray is gone for the same hours everyday. At orientation this week he did find out he can't take any vacation time for the first six months - something we guessed would happen which is one reason why we took our impromptu vacation this month.
Right now our pickle is trying to figure out how to manage our time so that we can both still work 20 hours for Hilton each week. I just don't see how that will be possible - at least not if we plan to keep our sanity! Youth Group has started back up but we've had to bow out for at least these first few months. Ray's been a youth group leader for well over ten years now & it's a little sad not being able to commit any time to it now.
