While the men are away, we will play!

Friday spent at Rachel's was fun - it was nice just hanging out without real time limitation, coming & going as we could & relaxing with our kids. However, I didn't get many pictures & none that were too good.

Saturday dawned as a girls day away sans kids. Yes, NO kids! First, Sarah dropped her kids off at my house. Yep, the Sarah who we just stayed with in Virginia. The guys trip to the island was such a big deal & they'd been planning it since the Spring that two of the guys came from out of state to attend. Anyway, my mom graciously watched our combined number of five kids & off we went! We picked up Heather on our way & went to our 9:30 appointment for pedicures. I hadn't been to a professional pedicure in about...six years? I still do a pretty good job upkeeping on my own.

Rach & Briana. I should mention that Rach kindly gave up her six-year anniversary on Saturday for her dear husband to go on this trip with the guys - she definitely deserved the pedicure! (And, look at her super cute stylish outfit - so in right now! I still haven't been able to find a decent plaid shirt to fit me...

My chosen color, a dark brown, inspired by a color similar to one Erin had previously chosen. After our recent foray into cooler weather on our vacation I'm also more in an Autumnal mood.

And, where else do you go after pedicures but the mall! I needed coffee. I hadn't had any yet and I NEEDED it. I also finally found a decent pair of skinny jeans! This is not my first foray into skinny jeans. I actually bought some months ago that were a maternity version(!). Never thought I'd try that. Unfortunately, I bought them when I still wasn't too pregnant & I thought I'd grow into them. I never did get big enough to wear the jeans so I ended up returning them. I'm very excited about this new pair!

Me & Heather, conquering malls across Florida together for the last 20 years

Lunch was had at BJ's. I always think of the warehouse store with that name but this was actually a nice bistro type place. I wasn't that hungry so I just had one of their little appetizer salads.

See? Very little. But I truly wasn't hungry, check out the earlier picture of me & Heather & that huge coffee in my hand to see why.

A seriously wonderful & much needed getaway. Next up...spa weekend? (I wish!)
