Yay for food!

I'm a huge proponent for breastfeeding if able to do so. But, quite frankly, deep down I'm also quite lazy & really like the convenience of nursing. Even when I do pump I just hate washing all of the bottles & parts & making sure the milk is okay...it's a hassle.

The same goes for solids. As soon as the kids start eating real food meal times become a much bigger, messier & time consuming production.

That being said I won't just let me kids starve & Clay has started giving very visible signs that he's ready for solids. His pure excitement at seeing my mom eat oatmeal was a good sign so last night I tossed an acorn squash in the oven (the only thing I really had on hand to quickly make baby food) & let Clay have a try.

First taste

Think he likes it??

Yes, he loved them! Clay was an enthusiastic eater today, too. Unlike his oldest sister who refused solids until the day of her first birthday. Kate also didn't mind food but made faces over it. Clay was a happy camper the entire time!
