Let The Little Children Come To Me (Matthew 19:14)

My heart is happy today as Addison made the decision this morning to place her trust in the Lord Jesus as her personal savior!!!

Our devotional during circle time this morning was regarding the story of Easter and at the end of the story Addison said, "I trust Jesus."

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8)

I took her alone to my room & asked her to expand on her statement. It was wonderful to witness her so happy and sure of herself when telling me that Jesus is the only one who can save her & take her to heaven and that he paid the penalty for her sins.

I'm so thankful to the Lord for this answered prayer!

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” (Romans 5:8)

This passage came to mind,

4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. -Deuteronomy 6:4-7

Praise the Lord for godly parenting and for displaying his great mercy on Addison!
