I &hearts Rust-oleum

Yes, that's right. Today, my love is paint. Due to chemical sensitivity "normal" things don't always go off without a hitch for me, so, I'm always excited when I can do something without issues.

One of those "somethings" is painting. Painting transforms! It's such a little step for a huge difference! And, I found a furniture paint that I'm able to use without getting sick! Of course, I still call for wearing a mask & painting outside if possible. If not outside, then, at least with the windows open & fan turned on.

My spontaneous project is my bedroom. I started yesterday by painting some side/coffee tables. One was a side table I've had since I was a kid & the other two I pulled from the trash! I was so inspired that today I spontaneously decided to paint...OUR BED!

Well, the frame, anyway. The bed was a gift. We've never been fans of the color of the frame, but, it was totally worth the luxurious king bed!

I've always neglected decorating our bedroom. It's not that I don't want it decorated, it's just never been very feasible or a priority.

I've been itching to paint it, but, thought it would involve the long & difficult process of taking the bed apart & outside & leaving it there for days until I could breathe around it again. However, upon discovering this paint, I realized I could just paint the parts we can see & I'd be able to paint the bed while still in our room AND still be able to sleep on it that night.

Ta da!

I love love LOVE it! I can't wait to decorate.

Kate was hilarious as I was painting the frame. She kept telling me, "Your daddy is going to be so mad at you for painting the bed. He's going to be so mad at you."

Thankfully, Ray was very surprised and also loves it! Ray loves it so much that he wants to paint the walls a nice color this weekend. Addison also likes it - she tells me it looks like we're in a store because of the color of the bed!
