the essence

I can't believe that I was in labor this time a year ago. I can't believe I still had over another day & a half of labor to go! 41 hours is a really long time.

It just doesn't seem possible that a year has already passed since Addison was born. On the one hand it's hard to remember what it was like before she was here - it seems it would be so lonely without her. But, on the other hand I can't believe that my baby isn't a baby anymore! It just doesn't seem possible. I love reading through all of the blog updates I gave while I was in labor. I have to laugh at the one at the very top that says "hopefully by morning we'll have our little girl here." I think it's a good thing we can't see into the future!
