the essence

I have fallen so behind in my scrapbooking but Friday night I was able to go to a woman's house who's part of the mom's group for a nice scrapbooking get together. The fabulous part is that she used to own a scrapbooking store so she has EVERYTHING with which to scrapbook. Of course, I didn't get much done but I think it may've given me the inspiration to do a little more.

Of course that didn't happen on Saturday - we were too busy celebrating Ruth's second birthday (which is actually today!).



Rachel did such a great job & totally rocked the pink & brown theme, right down to their clothes! It was great to visit with her family & just relax. It was a great day to sit on the back porch while the guys grilled out!

The girls got to know each other a little better with some mutual finger pointing outside.






Ruth absolutely loved the Dora chair she received! She sat in it the entire time she opened presents!


We gave Ruth a bubble maker...and it was a definite hit...with Rachel's brother, Caleb!
