Megan and Matthew gave me a very generous gift certificate to Target for Mother's Day. Talk about exciting! I keep a mental list of things I want/need. Ray thinks money burns a hole in my pocket but really I just keep a running tab of what I'm going to spend it on when I eventually get the money.

Yesterday I went out with specific items in mind. The king size bed my grandmother gave me has been fabulous but it's looked embarrassingly dismal. Along with the bed she gave us a quilt set but I had no pillow to go inside the shams so we weren't able to use it. I also really wanted some decorastive pillows to go on the bed.

Decorative pillows can be so overpriced & at some places (you know, where I may be able to afford them) they sometimes just look so...ordinary? Streamlined? I don't know. But I did find these really cute dish towels for just $4.99:

Yes, I also bought pillows for the shams! I'm so excited, my bed finally looks more me!
