The beach was fabulous! It's difficult for a west coast beach to be something other than fabulous, though.
We woke up Wednesday morning & laid about having breakfast in bed. It was great!
I was wrong about the distance to the beach from the condo, it wasn't a mile, it was a couple hundred yards. Loved it! It wasn't a very public beach either so there weren't too many people around.

When we've taken Addison to the beach before the weather hasn't cooperated well so I this was her first time really getting in the water. I loved watching it splash up to her! She just plopped right down in the sand as the little baby waves kept getting her. We took Addison out quite a ways into the water, it was up to our chests, & she warmed up to it after awhile.

Playing in the sand was a big hit too, and not just for Addison. Ray & I each dug significant size holes (what can I say, it was rather calming!) & he also took time to pile a huge mound of sand onto his lap.

We walked back to our condo & had jambalaya & tomatoes with feta for lunch. It was so nice to kick back & relax! Addison took a nap & Ray started working on the closet he was there to redo.
In the evening we walked down to St. Armand's Circle. I wasn't so much interested in window shopping, I was much more concerned about finding a place to eat! I was also set on getting ice cream. We finally settled on Cork & The Bottle Shop. I totally loved the facade & the fact the inside of the restaurant was opened to the outdoors. We ate outside on the sidewalk. At the restaurant they mix their own butters and change them up but while we were there it was a strawberry flavor - it tasted like eating strawberry ice cream on your bread! For dinner we both had burgers & fries. It was all delicious but I especially loved the pickled red onions on the burgers.

After dinner we walked down to Scoop Daddy's for ice cream. I don't remember what it was called, but our ice cream was some kind of caramel hazelnut coffee flavor - so good!

Our walk back to the condo was gorgeous & we had almost made it when my flip flop caught on a piece of rubber which then hit the back of my ankle. I turned only to see that it wasn't a piece of rubber but this snake! Good thing I'm not pohidiophobic (yes, I had to look that up)

Thursday was spent rushing around the condo trying to finish the project & get the place clean before we had to leave. It was a wonderful little getaway!
